I thought this was just the opposite…don’t apples and potatoes make each other go bad faster? Or am I remembering wrong?

I think that’s onions and potatoes you’re thinking about, Annie. When kept together they go bad faster, but when you put an apple with potatoes they absorb the excess moisture and prevent them from sprouting.
