Edible bouquets are all the rage these days, but they cost a pretty penny. I happened to spot these adorable strawberry flowers that looked super easy and inexpensive to make as a Valentine’s Day treat. So I gave it a try…and granted mine don’t look as cute as the ones on the right here, I still think it’s a great idea. How cute would it be to place a few strawberry flowers in a vase when you’re serving your loved one breakfast in bed? Delicious too…I ate a couple while doing this post. Ahhh, I just wish someone would do something as thoughtful for me (honey, are you reading? 🙂 )
Anyway, to get to it…all you need are strawberries and whipped cream, and if you want to give them stems- bamboo skewers.
Simply make two cuts in the bottom (pointy end) of the strawberries and pipe in some whipped cream.
Stick the strawberry flowers onto a skewer and place them in a vase…
(Note to self: Whipped cream melts quick so don’t take your own sweet time to take pictures! 🙁 )
